Welcome!

Welcome!

Milena Lukic, MS, LMFT - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #100492

I have an MS in marriage and family therapy. For the past six years, I have been providing therapy for trauma survivors and co-facilitating support groups for survivors of domestic violence, adult males who were molested as children, and high-risk youth. I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an integrative psychotherapy treatment for processing of traumatic memories and other adverse life experiences and bringing them to an adaptive resolution. I also facilitate creative art workshops using a trauma-informed approach. I speak regularly at state and national conferences on trauma-informed issues, the impact of domestic violence on children, prevention of vicarious trauma, and adverse effects on brain development as a result of trauma. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and a member of American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers withing yourself that you have built against it.`` - Rumi

  2. My Philosophy

I have no preferred treatment modality, as I believe that no single approach fits everyone’s needs.

  3. My Philosophy

I use solution-focused interventions, EMDR, insight-oriented approach, mindfulness, CBT, resiliency model, healing-arts and other trauma-focused models, and believe that combination of treatments can provide profound changes.
